I was half-dressed this morning (pants but no top) and Dez was having naked time after his bath when he started to say "tinkie tinkie" so I reached for a dipe to throw on him quickly. He's at the age where you have to dipe him standing up or he pitches a fit so I bent over him from behind to wrap the dipe around his hiney and snap it.
He started to say "noms noms" and I said, "Yes those are Mamas breasts. That's how you have noms." Thinking that was the end of it, I started to stand up and felt a tug. He was standing there nursing with his little chin in the air like a baby giraffe. I leaned on the dresser and let him nurse a minute before saying, "OK. All done. Mommy has to get dressed now." He replied, "Dangu Mama" (thank you, Mama).
I realize that's a slightly odd story to share but if I can't share it here, where can I? Haha

Re: I Felt Like A Mama Giraffe Today
Haha, I love it too! Liam has done something similar to me, it's so funny. I was nursing him on the couch, but had to get up to check dinner, and he sort of clung to me while I stood him up on the floor, and he was still nursing.
On a sort of related note, one awkward time I was laying on the floor on my side while he was playing, and he wanted to nurse, so I did. Well, the other breast sort of fell out of my bra, and he tried to put both in his mouth at the same time. Yeah, that was a no go lol.
breastfeeding, cloth diapering, farming mama.
Aww I think that is a great story.
I have rather massive boobs (and where else can you say that and not be bragging? It is more like ooooowwwww my back hurts) and whenever I have my shirt off, DS just manhandles me. I find it rather amusing and generally kinda convenient when he can walk up, pull me down a little, and latch on. He is fond of taking "sips" and it is nice to not have to do this whole ordeal 2 times and hour (sometimes that often) when he does his drive-by nursing.
LOL @ Drive-by Nursing!
Aww. Nice try, little buddy. Haha
LOL! DD is in a phase lately where she'll scoot her legs off my lap while nursing so that she can stand to nurse too. I will occasionally let her do it for a couple of minutes, but it's not particularly comfy for me. I wonder what goes through their little heads sometimes.
ETA: My kids have tried the two-fer nursing too. Didn't work out for them either.
