We took our birthing classes through Mothertree Birthing Services. I highly recommend. There were only 6 other couples in the class. Check out their website for more details. The classes were 3 hours long, and we met 4 times. It's very hands on and informative
We took the classes offered by Kaiser. They were 2 hours long, 5 weeks long (every Thursday). I thought they were great, really informative and let us know what to expect since we're FTP. I would see if your insurance offers any, our classes were only $70.

I took Hypnobirthing and liked it. I had my bff come with my husband and I cause I wasn't sure how the hubby would hold up during the birth. Later found out she was pregnant and she took Bradley and LOVED it! If I were to do it all over again, I would chose Bradley. She is still friends with all of the parents in the group and they have gtg's. So fun!

It's me...the BFF;) Yeah, I took Bradley and loved it. I took my classes from Sarah Finnegan in Tualitan. There were 6 couples in our class and we stay in contact with them all. It is a long serious (12 weeks) but SO worth it in my opinion....especially if you are planning a natural birth. Great bonding time for mama and daddy too;)

We took the weekend class at OHSU (I think it was called Birth A to Z?). It was a really great class. Very educational and open to all types of births. It had a great (free) breastfeeding option, too. It's open to non-OHSU patients. There were a couple in our class.
We also took two classes through MotherTree and were really unimpressed. They seemed disorganized and redundant. A friend who took all three said the first was the best, and they wished they'd just done that one. We only did the last two. We learned just as much in our OHSU class.
