It's so funny, because before I had the baby I thought, "I wont like breastfeeding, so I think I'll pump and give him the good stuff that way." But in the hospital I tried it and have liked it ever since. The bonding is phenomenal, and it's not creepy like I thought. So, now that I have to pump more because a: my pedi wants him to gain more weight and us to know how much he's getting and b: I have to goto work in less than 2 weeks so i have to prepare for it.... it really really stinks. I can't imagine how people could exclusively pump.
Anyways, I send props out to the EPers out there.... you guys rock!
I think the US should give women a year off after they have a baby, even just to keep them BFing.
Re: I hate pumping.

I took off a full year with Drew and pumped only as needed (bottles here and there) because I disliked it so much. This time I'll be going back in August and I am not at all looking forward to pumping every day, several times a day. Ughhh....

THIS. Only I work in retail, and I have to pump in our training room which has two doors that don't lock. I've been busted in on three times. Thankfully all three times it was women coming in and I had a nursing cover on. But talk about awkward. I have every intention of burning my pump when I'm done with it. Or maybe I'll run it over with my car...
