Anyone have a Baby Bali Breeze?

I'm really thinking about getting one.  I need a lightweight wrap for summer...and I want to branch out into back carrying, etc.  The only thing I do now is a newborn hold, and that's all I ever did with DS #1 (in a Sleepy Wrap).  I also have a ring sling that I just bought from Sleepy Baby Productions, and I like it...but, I want a wrap.  Thoughts?  Who has the best price for a Bali Breeze?

TIA.

  • I have one, Brigid.  I LOVE it!  It takes longer to wrap on than a Moby, but it's so much more secure, more versatile, and much more lightweight.  I just got it for DS2, and he's only 2.5 months old, so we haven't done any back carries yet, but I'm looking forward to it!  I have a moby, Ergo, mei tei, and BBB, and the BBB is my go to wrap!  So far we do newborn and a sitting up carry.  It also works great to spread the shoulders out like a shawl and use to cover up for NIP.  Haven't figured out how to NIP with it, using a carry, but I can do the shawl thing over my shoulders to cover up so I don't have to bring something extra.  I paid about $80 for mine.

  • I have one also, and I really like it.  My toddler is now 18 months old and I use it for back carries, using the double hammock carry.  It's very lightweight, but a bit scratchier than woven wraps.  The fabric is very pretty.  It's still supportive for my toddler.  I paid around $70 for it at a store.

  • I have one and it is great for summer.  It folds up really small so it fits easily in a diaper bag and it super light weight and breathable.  It is not as forgiving of sloppy wrapping as thicker (woven) wraps, so there is a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure it out it is great!  It is not something I reach for when I want cozy snuggles since it is not as soft as my other wraps (although I hear it will get softer with time if I use it a lot) but it is a great wrap to have on hand for those blisteringly hot days!

  • I have one and I love it! I bought it when we were living in FL and I was always comfortable with it on. We're moving to an island in the Caribbean in two months and I'm actually taking it with me just in case we have another kid down there. That's how much I love it!

I agree with PP who said there is a learning curve, but once you get it, it's no big deal. Just be patient and practice around the house and you'll be fine. It really is a wonderful wrap and you will be able to use it for such a long time! We can easily still carry my 19 month old in it (when she lets us of course) and there are a lot of different ways to tie it. I bought mine directly off of the wrapsody sight and paid like around $75 for it. And I think they are the prettiest wraps you can get!

  • Can I play devil's advocate?  In our hundred degree+ temps for the past month and a half (ugh!) I've actually preferred a thicker woven wrap since I can comfortably do a single layer carry like a ruck.  No matter how thin and breezy the GMBBB is, if you're doing a double hammock or other multi-layer carry it's going to be warmer than a ruck IMO.
