Frozen treat recipes?

I made the banana "ice cream" recipe that's been going around pinterest and yum, it was good, J ate a whole banana's worth and wanted more!  I have some fun reuseable push pop containers and I'd love some recipes for other frozen (healthish) treats to fill them with :)

Re: Frozen treat recipes?

  • I made some the other week that was from the Eating Well Mag. Recipe:

    3 ripe bananas

    2tblsp cocoa powder

    1tsp vanilla

    1 c light coconut milk

Blend all ingredients in blender. This was supposed to be a pie, but I poured them into popsicle molds & it was delicious. Really tasty, not too sweet & a great way to use ripe bananas in the summer.

  • I love making banana "ice cream!"  To add variety, I sometimes add: strawberries, sliced almonds, chocolate chips (add them so they get chopped up in the food processor), chocolate sauce, etc.  Great idea about the push pop containers!

That's pretty similar to the one we tried, we did a banana, tablespoon PB and a little dark chocolate bar - yum!

  • My mom used to freeze grapes and I thought they were the best treat ever. Then I grew up and realized it was fruit, hah.
