Cheapest airport shuttle or larking

My mom has to fly out of town tomorrow, and for reasons I don't want to get into I'm not taking her to the airport or picking her up. I have to make her travel arrangements though, so I need to set up either a shuttle or find her the cheapest parking option for 5 days. Preferably prepaid, but it's okay if it's not.

She's going from Round Rock, if that makes a difference.

When I travel, I use Airport Fast Park.  It think it's $8/day, but that may be the corporate rate I was using.  Maybe it's $10/day regular?

  • I know if you park in the uncovered parking spots at the airport (and catch the free shuttle to the entrance) it's only $7 a day.  You don't pay until you leave though.

  • The offsite parking is cheaper than at the airport ($5/day as opposed to $7/day), and you can reserve online.  Here's a link:

oh really? i haven't seen the $5/day parking. the site says covered parking $9.25 per day Plus 8.25% state sales tax & 10% Airport Tax

i've always parked in the B/C or DEF lots at the airport for $7/day and taken the free shuttle (which can be very slow).

  • Yeah, the parking spot doesn't have uncovered parking anymore. They do have 20% off coupons if you stay overnight on a Sat or 15% if you don't. If you have a AAA card, you can use it instead of a coupon.

  • I use Parking Spot or Fast Park. I like Parking Spot better but they are both the same price.  There are 20% parking spot coupons everywhere though, so it's easy to save $ if you're paying yourself.  But for 5 days, you might call Super Shuttle to see what their rates are b/c it could be cheaper.

Apologies. I didn't read that correctly.  It is $4.95 to reserve your spot, not per day.  You are totally right.  I was just thinking if it was that cheap, why didn't I look into the offsite parking before?  And of course it isn't.

  • we always just parked at the airport. you walk right to the terminal instead of lugging your crap to a bus and waiting on the bus and then riding the bus etc :)

    :)
