I found out on Friday that my sister is pregnant with her second child.  She is due March 3rd (my birthday).  I am super excited but am also a little upset.  I am so excited to be an aunt again and for my little guy to have a cousin so close to his age to play with.  I am upset because they concieved right after my LO was born even though they kept saying that they didn't want to try again for a couple of years.  I feel like they didn't want the attention taken away from them.  I am sure the closer the time comes the more excited I will be I was just hoping my LO could be the baby of the family for a little bit longer.

    I'm sorry...but I really don't get why you're upset?  This almost seems like a bride who gets upset  because someone else she knows plans to get married the same year.

    I'm happy that Stella is going to have other babies in the family and friends around the same age (DH's cousin had a baby a month before us, his niece is having a baby in September and several friends have had or will have babies within a few months of Stella.

    You have 8 months for your LO to be the baby. Also, maybe they didn't plan it. No need for you to be upset. Just be happy for them.

    Three of my good friends from highschool had babies within months of me...one in March, one the same day as me, and another yesterday. I am happy that their lives are being blessed as well as my own.

    It is quit possible that they truly meant that they didn't want to try again for a couple of years and this pregnancy is just as much a suprise to them as it is to you.

    I only say this because DH and I had no intention of TRYING to get pregnant again until DS1 was 3.  But DS2 was concived shortly after DS1's 1st birthday. 

    I do however know that when I announced my pregnancy a month after my Step-Cousin's wife announced her my aunt swore I did it to spit them....some people are just a-holes!  (And I mean my aunt not my step-cousin or his wife...they are actually really nice)

    They probably just got a little baby fever holding your precious little one and moved up their time line.

    My SIL got pregnant right after we announced LO.  She's due in September.  I'm super excited that DS will have a cousin so close in age.  Built in playmate at all family gatherings!

    Don't get me wrong I am over the moon excited especially since this LO is due on my birthday.  It is just more of a jealousy thing than upset I think.  I love my sister, niece and BIL and am so excited they will be having another baby and shortly after they have their second we will probably be announcing our next pregnancy (my boyfriend will be 39 by then so we want our babies close in age) and I know they will be excited and probably a little jealous as well.
