Hey Guys - my doc recommended the NuMom2Be study to me - I had my first visit yesterday and it was really great. If you're planning on delivering at Prentice, and if this is your first pregnancy, you probably qualify. There are a total of three visits, and they collect blood and urine samples, and ask you a TON of questions... plus you get extra ultrasounds... more chances to see the little bun! I had my first visit yesterday and was pleasantly surprised when they gave me $25 cash at the end of it... you get $55 total for the three visits - kind of cool. Anyway, it is a great study with 2000 total patients in Chicago and 10,000 nation-wide. They are looking for factors that can help predict and eventually prevent problems with early delivery. If you're interested, ask me questions about my personal experience, or call 312.926.5952.
