I'm looking into getting a new vehicle in the near future. Does anyone have any recommendations on whether a vehicle with Back-up Sensors or Back-up Camera is safer, with a toddler?
I've read that the camera doesn't necessarily tell you what's behind you (doesn't beep, unless you have a really pricey model that does both), It just shows you what's behind you. The Back-up sensor, actually beeps when there is something behind you within so many feet. I want this mainly just in case (God forbid), my daughter ever ran behind the car, I don't need it to back up a trailer or anything. At first I wanted the camera, but now I'm thinking the sensor might be better, because it makes you look. You might get into the habit of not looking at the camera if you aren't warned. Thoughts??
Also, if you have one or the other, what type of vehicle do you own and do you like it?
Re: Car Question - Safety Sensors
We have an Armada. It has backup sensor and camera. I really love and use them both. I hope they are starting to standardize these safety features on more vehicles now.
Good luck in your search!
