I currently have a 5 month old and I just found out I'm pregnant again. With subsequent pregnancies I had terrible "morning" sickness. Unable to get out of bed without vomiting to the point of dry heaving. My concern is how in the heck am I going to take care of my DS if I'm sick. I took Zofran with Reglan and that helped a little bit but it didn't take care of the nausea/vomiting completely. We don't have any family in the area. Anyone ever been in this situation before? I think I may have to look into a full time nanny for about 8 weeks. :-/

I honestly didnt find that time frame too difficult. With that being said, I was run down and queasy, but not that ill.
The great thing about infants is they nap a lot. Rest when the baby does. Do you formula feed? If so, get playtex drop ins for less cleaning. Get a bunch of nipples so you only have to clean them once a day. Throw some toys in bed with you, and lay down all day in bed with LO. That's the benefit of being pregnant with an infant-that would never work with a toddler for very long!
GL and congrats! I found out I was pregnant right before DS was 5 months, and they're 12.5 months apart. It is so much fun.
I was really sick my first trimester with this LO to the point I was put on Zofran at 7 weeks. All I can say that, as a mother, you just learn to deal with it. Now that I am feeling better, I am glad that I got through that when DS was pretty much immobile. I can;'t imagine chasing around a toddler and being that sick!
I was also very exhausted my first trimester, so I would nap when he napped (I am a SAHM) and I would also go to bed when he went to bed. Luckily a little baby keeps you so busy that the time really seems to fly!
