This is my first time on the Bump and hubby and I have just started TTC. Any advice from mommies and mommies-to-be? How did you track your fertility and ovulation?
You can find the link to that post at the top of the Trying To Get Pregnant board. There is SO MUCH information in it that I'm sure it will answer questions you didn't even know you had They talk about Fertilityfriend which is what I personally used to track fertility and ovulation... I think almost everyone here did/does Congrats on your decision and GL!
FertilityFriend.com is probably one of the best sites out there. The site is free to use, but there's an upgraded version that you can pay for if you'd like.
TCOYF is a great book if you're looking for more information - I found it to be of great interest, but not everyone is interested.
Make sure you go for a GYN check-up, a Dental check-up if you haven't been in a year or two, and a financial check-up with you and DH/SO if you haven't done that yet.
Start taking PNV's now, any kind will do and you don't need a Rx.
GL!

You should come over to the Trying to get pregnant board and lurk there. There is so much to learn. We just started TTC 2 weeks ago and I am still on information overload. I would definitly recomend charting. I didnt this cycle because I thought I knew my body better and now I am thinking I dont lol. Good Luck!

I tracked my ovulation on my own using the bumps ovulation calculator for a couple of months. I'm a teacher so my hubby and I planned on getting pregnant so that I could give birth in May...it worked for us but I know everyone is different. My advice would be to start taking prenatal vitamins and to have sex 1-2 days BEFORE you ovulate. Again I know everyone is different and it's harder for some people than others but we were pregnant the first try
I know my hubby was shocked! We wanted to start trying, thinking it would take a couple of months before conceiving and bam! Also,a coworker of mine was also TTC for a couple of months and when I told her to have sex before she ovulates she finally got pregnant! But again I know everyone is different. I will keep my fingers crossed for all you ladies and hope for BFP!!
