Overwhelmed Newcomer....
So I've been a member of the knot and the nest. Recently my husband and I decided to start TTC. I've been on here fo a couple weeks now and I'm so overwhelmed by the amount of information and all the posts and everything. Is there anyone else who feels as ovewhelmed as I do. I feel like I just can't keep up.

Hello, I just joined as well. Hubby and I are going to start TTC this fall. There is a ton of info out there! From what I have seen the best way to get help from these boards is to ask fairly specific questions. From what I can tell these boards have a ton of knowledge and experience, and they are happy to share. Good Luck!

Yeah its been very overwhelming to DH and I. The best advance I can give you, from what I've learned from this board, is start temping NOW, if not already. I wish I would have started sooner.
Don't feel overwhelmed.
There's a lot to learn about yourself, your partner/SO/DH, and about the mechanics of fertility and conception.
On the other hand, women have been getting KU accidentally for eons. For some people it's as easy as having a lot of fun sex.
I recommend FertilityFriend.com as a good place to start. Take the tutorials and learn about how your body actually works - not what you were taught in 6th grade. Start with the basics and go from there.
If you do nothing else, start taking a prenatal vitamin. When you get comfortable, you can branch out into other things - temping, charting your CM, etc.
As you gain more insight into how your body works, you can expand your knowledge with additional information - Taking Charge Of Your Fertility is an excellent reference. When you feel like you're hitting roadblocks, ask questions here or at your GYN.

What exactly do you feel overwhelmed about? The # of boards? How many are you visiting? The # of posts? You can be selective as to what posts you open and what you choose to pay attention to.
It's not a contest, it's just a message board. Lurk around some boards, see what feels right to you, and hang out.
