s/o student supply list (teachers?)

Just looking at the list posted earlier got me thinking...So much of the stuff that is requested JLK cant use, glues, hand sanitzers, stickers etc...

So how will/should I best deal with that? Obviously anything that is just for her is easy to deal with but the things that are obviously requested for the room what is *expected* for families like mine??

    As a teacher, I certainly would not expect you to send in classroom donations that were things your child specifically couldn't use and I would *hope* most other teachers would be in the same boat.  Obviously this is something you'll have to talk to the teacher about right away and I would assume he/she would completely understand and not expect those items from you.  Heck...I don't even expect the "classroom only" items from half my students.  I get what I get and it's better than nothing.

    Definitely...I can't imagine the teacher not being accommodating to something like that.

    Agreed.  That's one of those situations where you need to have a quick conversation with the teacher and (hopefully!!) she'll understand.  She'll probably have you skip what JLK won't use and substitute her own materials, labeled.

    :::totally butting in:::: Mind my asking, is it the Celiac Disease that ='s the issues with glue related things?  Just not an issue I would have ever suspected nor did I  have any idea is could be so far reaching (beyond food).  Sure laugh at my ignorance, I don't mindStick out tongue)

    Also, holy crappola when did you get to be sooooo pregnant!  Are you in the same awful pubic pain as you were with the boy?  God I hope not, akkk with two to chase around.  I hope it doesn't sound corny, but damn Libby it brings tears to my eyes to see your incredible family grow like it is.  I couldn't be happier for anyone and to have ended up with them all (so farWink) so close together in one big, happy and rambunctious bunch, well it's simply awesome and I'm so happy for you guys.

    No worries I get lost with all of it too. Yes soaps, sunscreen, toiltires everything basically can have gluten. Glues, play doh stickers do also...I honeslty dont know the whole list of things...It also depends on how sensitve somebody is. I *think* JLK is reacting to gluten free things made on shared belts (so very small trace amounts) The problem is really making sure if she does get art supplies with gluten on her hands making sure she washes well enough afterwards...And doesnt put anything near her mouth...Not easy for her at all...

    Thanks for asking..I for sure am. Its worse this time around by a good amount. They measured me a few weeks ago and its a good deal seperated...But for things to go *wrong* in a pregnancy its not too bad right!

    Thank you...sometimes I feel so lucky I cant even believe it. It scares me sometimes that how can we possibly be getting so much...My life is everything I want. Its just amazing. And I worry so much for JLK...how all of this might possibly impact her...She is obsessed with watching my birth slideshow (the one by Kelly M. ) so we do... a lot. We had a amazing talk about all of it a few nights ago...how she made us a mom and dad...before that we were just Tony and Libby...I hope thats making a impact..
