I tried transitioning DD from her RnP to her crib since I go back to work in a few weeks. I did her normal bedtime routine and put her down at 10. She slept soundly until 12 and would not go back to sleep until 3 when I fed her. I ended up just putting her back in her RnP since I had gotten hardly any sleep. She doesn't cry when she's in there, just kicks around and sort of fusses. I noticed that she sleeps with her legs in the air in the crib and everytime they fall, it wakes her.
I'm thinking I need to keep with it if I want her to get used to it. Anyone else in the same boat?
Re: 1st night in crib=FAIL
keep it up!! it's the first step to a full night sleep.
DS does this too - do you swaddle? maybe try a little tighter....
i finally starting using the Summer swaddle blanket that has the pouch for his feet then velcro part for his arms - works GREAT! DS actually slept last night from 9pm until 5am! woot woot!!
We stopped swaddling at about 2 weeks because she despised it. She actually sleeps worse beings swaddled.
I dont mean to hijack your post but we are trying the same thing and I was about to post a and see if anyone had any suggestions for transition.
emkatrine-was it hard to get him to start napping in the crib? That is what I have been trying (and failing at) she will nap for 30-45 min in her crib when normally she would go 2-2.5 hrs in her swing.
Ellie will only nap about 20 min in her crib too. I think I just need to keep at it and she will get used to it
