Ok ladies...
I have a very cool recommendation for cloth diapering mamas.
I discovered a company out of China called Alva Baby diapers. They are pocket diapers that use microfiber inserts. Most domestic pocket diapers are unbelievably expensive. Up until now we had used flats and prefolds with either wool covers (bulky but cute) and thirsties covers. Oh, and by the way, if anyone likes to use flats, the Ikea burp rags are amazing flats! They quilt up nice, are a good size (28.5x28.5), have adorable patterns and are only $16 a dozen. You get 6 of the imse vimsie for that price. Sadly they aren't available online but you can find them on diaperswappers and I've even sold some.
ANYWAY, back to the alva diapers. They are amazing diapers! Trim, extremely absorbent, they have lots of super cute patterns, but the best part...
THEY'RE ONLY $5-$6 EACH!
I can't recommend these diapers enough. We started with 7 to test them out, and I just ordered 20 more. They're all in one size, so we won't need to order any more diapers. I'm slowly selling off the other diapers (except the ikea flats, they're too cute) and with the money we make back on that will pay for all of his new diapers that will last him until he's potty trained.
Can you tell I'm excited about this?

*p.s. A word of advice, limit each order to 10 diapers a piece or they can get hung up in U.S. Customs, and that is no bueno!

Re: Alva Diapers
We use Alvababy's too. We ordered the 20 pack and they came within a week, we didn't have any problems with customs. I love them.
BTW, I just went to a diaper workshop yesterday and was looking at all the name brand diapers that cost $17-20 a pop and noticed they are the exact same diapers as the Alvababy's, just with a different name tag. Seriously, they are the same diapers.
