Oh yes this started for me at the begining of last week. And I think my teeth might be trying to move around a little b/c my bottom teeth are a little bit sore. (They can't move b/c I have a permanent retainer in so it just is an aggrevating feeling)
I've had this for a couple of weeks now. I had my regular dental appointment last week, and he said I should expect this, but that everything should go back to normal after birth. Baby is not leaching calcium from the teeth (only the bones if your diet isn't sufficient - so watch out for ostioperosis later in life, fun fun), it is only the receding gums you have to worry about. He recommended to brush and floss regularly and to be really diligent about it. I asked if mouthwash like Listerine was ok and would help, and he said it wouldn't hurt...
Oh yes! I had it with DD and its back with a vengence this time too. I hate flossing it just makes it so much worse and I also just found out I have a sinus infection which is hurting my upper teeth so its been fun. Not too many of my friends got this but I learned in nursing school it is common because of the increased blood flow.

yes I have definitely noticed this, especially this past week, it's awful! The dentist did say it's normal and to just make sure to brush and floss regularly.
Yes, me too. My MIL is a dental hygienist (my appt isn't for a couple more months), and said it was normal and to continue flossing and brushing regularly. She said an alcohol-free mouthwash can help too. She said the floss you pull from the container, versus the pre-loaded flossers are better because you have more control over the floss itself. The pre-loaded floss tends to sag and you can't control how close you get to the gum line.
