Alright, I wasn't really good at getting to know many bumpies last time around and only recognized the snark queens. So I think we should do a little roll call to see who the regulars are that get on everyday.
I'm sherpa. Real name is Amanda. I have a 2 year old son and I'm a SAHM. I'm super bored with it after 2 years and would love to go back to work but I am also a control freak and want to teach my son my way (plus daycare is expensive and I just can't justify it). I use to be an executive secretary. I'll check in about once or twice a day, usually at LO's nap time which is now.
Re: Roll Call
:-) I usually pop on about every day to read posts. Don't post every day, though. Married in Oct, expecting my first Jan 25th! :-) Nice to meet ya!
Just wondering- have you thought of doing childcare out of your home? DH & I are planning to home school (eventually) and I would like to be able to stay at home as much as I can during the first years as well. I have heavily looked into doing daycare from my home to supplement DH's income. Just a thought.
Hope you stick around & find yourself some good friends on the board (some of the ladies have been so sweet. I haven't really had a run-in with a snarky person myself)
Rhiannon your little Stella is adorable, great name too. I hope this one sticks for you and you have a happy and healthy 9 months!
Rachel, your boys are so handsome. Are you wanting a girl or another boy this time?
We are leaning toward another boy this time just because we feel like we're more prepared for a boy but I think a girl would bring some balance. I don't really care what we have.
I'm Salt. I'm more of a lurker on this board than a poster, but I am here on and off through the day because I am chained to a computer for my job (graphic design). This is our first ? and most likely only ? child.
Congratulations on the nuptials! Good to meet you too! I did think about doing childcare out of my home but a few of my friends would want me to watch their kids - I didn't want to complicate the friendships with a employee/employer relationship. (Plus, their kids are a little dramatic for my tolerance but of course that's our secret here.
)
Ohmigosh your sono picture is perfect! I love all the cute kid pics we have on here. I need to figure out how to get mine working.

Hi I'm Angel002, real name is Jenn, I have 2 boys, one will be 9 on Saturday and my little one is 7 1/2 months. I found this board entertaining last time so I like to sit back and read. I check in periodoically cause I think I have ADD with work haha....
I've had miscarriages and a BO in the past so I'm not fully accepting my bfp until my dr's appointment tomorrow. Also, I'm stll pumping so I'm extremely tired and hungry all the time anyway.
It's a GIRL!
Thanks, she is my step daughter and she is an absolute joy! I can't wait to have her a little brother or sister.
I'm Heather and I'm fairly new to this site. I just found out I was pregnant on July 9 and cannot wait to be a first time mommy!
I normally lurk around the boards during the day while I'm at work. I try to post as often as I can, but I must admit I'm more of a reader. I'm sure I'll be more active now that I'm pregnant since I will have lots of questions (and hopefully a few answers) throughout the next 9 months!

Thanks so much! Really either way is good. I keep thinking how fun our house would be with 3 boys. Also, I would love to have a girl at some point but not sure if we are finished having kids yet anyway, so maybe another time. My oldest, Liam, thinks that its a girl but I'm not sure if its just because its hard for him to imagine having another baby boy since we have Jude. I think Liam thinks that we would be replacing Jude if we have a boy. Will see...
That is the very worst commute I have ever heard! I hope you're able to work things out. DH use to commute 90 minutes each way and I felt so sorry for him. At least you're on a train and not driving in traffic.
I'm JLG95, you can call me Bean. I've been around 2 years now. I lurk a lot and post a bit.
I have a 19 month old son and I'm an IT manager for the man. I'm very excited about this pregnancy, I'd love for my son to have a sib that's close to his age. I lost a pregnancy back in February at the 8-10 week mark. That was pretty depressing, but I'm feeling a lot better now.
I will happily share my pregnancy and motherhood horror stories about the following conditions:
Symphysis Pubic Dysfunction
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Ganglion Cysts
Mastitis
Umbilical Hernia
Plagiocephaly
Hi! I'm Beth Ann. This is my second pregnancy (1st after m/c). We are excited and nervous. Wednesday we hope to hear the heartbeat for the first time
I work full time doing marketing, and my husband works full time from home. We were planing on having him watch the baby when I go back to work until he/she is older and we're ready for daycare. I try to get on everyday. I love to read the posts b/c it makes me feel sane, knowing that I'm not the only one feeling a certain way or whatever. LOL
Best wishes to all of you!!! It's going to be an exciting journey!
Hi Ladies! It's fun to get to know a little bit more about y'all!
My name is Celeste. I've been married 3 1/2 years & waited two years to TTC (despite some annoying friends & family who thought that I was too old to delay baby-making). We had a missed m/c last October & are super excited to be having a totally different pregnancy experience this time around.
I'm an elementary school teacher & my husband is a professor, so we're off for the summer with plenty of time to veg out & play on the computer. I definitely log on 2-3 times a day, and will probably continue to do so when I head back to work next month.
We're due February 3rd, so we'll probably have to find daycare to finish off the school year, but I can hardly wait to be at home with our baby all next summer!
Heey! THis roll call goes on forever! I loved reading each of your little bios. I am Karley. I am not married and a lot of people are not supportive of my pregnancy. The man is super supportive nad os is his family. My parents are supportive as well. I live in Canada and so far my little wormie craves pizza and pepperoni. I am 21.
Hi! I'm Vanessa and a 1st time mommy
YAY! I am loving this board so far... lots of great info and advice! I own 2 clothing boutiques and have a pretty hectic schedule, but love to hop on here when I have a few minutes here and there. Looking forward to getting to know you fellow mommies the next 7-8 months
H&H pregnancies to all!
I'm here! I'm here most every day :-)
I am a SAHM who stays very busy with DD. Today we went to the playground then to the wading pool. Home for lunch and a nap. At 3 we went to Art Club and then at 5:30 DD had her swimming lesson. Whew! She is now fast asleep and I have the house to myself as DH is out for Monday night pool league.
Good evening ladies. I'm Hillary. I'm a 29 and a first time mommy. My DH and I have been married for 2 years and are the proud parents of a Jack Russell named Milli. I found out I had thyroid cancer right before our first anniversary. We spent the next year getting me healthy. I had a biopsy done on a lymph node, which came back negative, and was cleared to start TTC. We tried for 2 months before getting our BFP. We are completely in shock and are looking forward to being parents!!

WOW! I'm really enjoying everyone's stories. I am so excited that there are so many checking in. I am very excited for the first timers and especially those that have overcome some obstacles to get here. I don't remember so many second + time moms when I was on a few years ago. No dads though - we did have a few dads back then...well they said they were dads...it could have been nutty alter ego's (AE's) creeping around.
Hope the usual lurkers don't lurk too much - come out and say hello, share your stories, vent, just don't let the snarkies take over the board.

Agree! The good thing is even if I can't go PT I can work from home 2 days a week but working from home doesn't cut down on daycare expenses does it! And, on the train I have gotten a LOT of reading done! And lately napping...
