My poor baby girl. She was such a trooper. She tested positive to everything but 4 molds. I knew something else was going on with her besides the soy and peanuts, but I never thought it was this many. The dr walked in and was shocked by the results. The 15 min test was much more stressful on me than a 6 hour food challenge. My advise is to have someone else with you. I held her arms to keep from scratching while my mom tried to distract her.
Re: Environmental Skin Test Results (PIP)
Poor thing. She must have been so itchy! I hope they rubbed some antihistimine on her.
So many positives really does suck, but it is nice to have some answers and now you can give her a better diet so she doesn't feel icky. What was she positive for?
All trees, all grasses, all weeds, all environmentals - cat, dog, dust mite, feathers, cockroaches, mice. The only two molds were hormodendr. and cat pelt.
Nevermind about my diet comment. I assumed some of those were food related!
I decided I never hated summer until I had an allergic child. LOL! I hate when she goes outside because I know her skin and body will pay for it later. I am sorry she is allergic to so many environmental things.
My twins are 5! My baby is 3!
DS#2 - Allergic to Cashew, Pistachio, Kiwi
DS#3 - Allergic to Milk, Egg, Peanut, Tree Nuts and Sesame
That's what I look like after any food OR environmental skin testing. It's horrible.
As a teenager, I used to wake up on mornings when the pollen count was high and just lay in bed and cry. I wanted the day to hurry up and go by fast so I could wake up the next day feeling better. My nose would drip constantly, my eyes would water... it was miserable.
