Birthday party favors

Hi everyone!!  I am having my sons fourth birthday party at Monkey Joes this year and was wondering what to do for favors for all his friends?   I dont want to get a bunch of junk that they will just throw away but I also dont want to spend a ton of money because there are about 16 max kids coming, a mix or girls and boys.  I saw at the party store they had spider man watches for kids and I thought that may be sort of cute since it will be a super hero party.

Any thoughts are ideas are much appreciated, thanks!!!!

Re: Birthday party favors

  • We normally do something like a little coloring book, crayons, and one candy.

    *  fun summer basics -- sidewalk chalk, bubbles, crayons, blank pad of paper or coloring book, ball

    *  edible stuff -- make cookies, cupcakes, etc.  I got little bundt cakes and gave those as favors and they were huge hits.

  • I always give a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble ($5) for each kid. I find everything else I either throw out, or it breaks easily, etc.

  • Punch balloons were a big hit at my dd's party. I also put in strawberry rice krispie treats(straw shortcake party), bubbles, and sidewalk chalk.

  • I have seen little reusable containers in the dollar spot at target that are superhero themed. These would be cute filled with pretzels or fruit snacks. I live things that are useful! Even if you can't find super hero ones, plain ones filled with super hero stickers would be cool too!

  • Just bought packs of Crayola Washable Markers at Target for $2 each.  You could even give a few and attach to a small notebook to make the markers go further among all of those kids. Our favor will be a pack of markers and a sheet of stickers.
