I have my A/S and regular Dr's apt on Friday and I'm a nervous wreck already. My weight gain seems to have stopped and I don't feel like my belly's gotten bigger, it's times like these I really wish I owned a doppler!
I *think* I am feeling some movement so it's the only thing that's keeping me from totally stressing out, although it could just as easily be gas lol.
Anyone else get really nervous the days leading up to Drs apts?

Absolutely! I think I could have written this post word for word! My a/s is on Monday and I've yet to really feel movement except for an occasional thump that may or may not be baby. I feel the same about the doppler too! It's usually a week or two before my appointments that I'm begging DH for a doppler and he has to talk me down. lol
We just have to take a few calming breaths and find a distraction!
Totally!
My OB appointment is today (still don't know when my u/s is) and I am so nervous. I only heard the heart beat once, a month ago and I am so nervous about hearing it today. Hopefully its loud and strong.

BFP #1 - 5.20.10 - m/c 5.29.10 @ 5w6d
I'm a complete mess in the waiting room but even worse, when I went for my NT scan I was in tears walking thru the halls of the hospital to the office, NOT normal!
YES!!!! I freak out the day of my apt.. She told me i have to gain weight before my next apt in Aug. I lost 6 pounds at first because of all the m/s and i did end up gaining that back, but im a really small person. So i need the ex meat. I can feel the baby move so that makes me a little less stressed. But i still worry soo much.
Yes! and that's why I'm so grateful to have a doppler. My a/s is this Friday too and after being away all last week (didn't have the doppler with me), I randomly got really nervous last night so I did a quick HB check and things sounded good!
Now I'm just nervous that baby is developmentally on track!
LCT - 5.15.14 ~ 9lbs, 22.5 inches
Buy a doppler! It's the ONLY thing that has kept me sane! I ordered a Sonoline B from E-Bay - less than $60! For the amount of comfort it has given me, I would have paid triple. I'll be 17 weeks tomorrow and I am actually now able to enjoy this pregnancy (we have 3 prior miscarriages). DH and I listen the night before my appointment so we don't panic waiting to see if the doctor finds it.
BFP #2 - MC Aug 2012 - D&C w/ complications
I have some heart rythym issues and have worn the 24 hour holter monitor before so don't hestitate to page me or PM me if you have any questions! My cardiologist said this issue comes up a lot in pregnancy and it's usually harmless but always good to get checked out!
Thank you! That's very reassuring. The OB made it sound like it wasn't too big of a deal, but named off so many things it could be it was a little confusing. They already did some blood work, but haven't got the results back yet. I would be interested to know what yours felt like, that made you get it checked out. I've described it to a few people and I get a lot of blank stares lol. It doesn't happen all the time though so I'm thinking 24 hours may not even catch it when it happens...we'll see.

Mine are palpitations, sometimes it just feels like my heart flutters, other times it goes full out where my heart beats super fast for a few minutes. Caffeine increases mine, I made sure to drink a coffee when I wore the monitor to kind of force my body into doing it so they could see it for themselves.
YES! Always get nervous! I wished I owned a doppler and mention this to my friends and family often. I cross my fingers I always hear a good heartbeat. My next appointment is July 18th and I cannot wait to go to ensure everything is ok and progressing as normal.
Got the heart monitor today. I have to wear it for two weeks instead of 24 hours. Aside from being a little uncomfortable to wear it seems like it won't be too bad. The thing that made me tell the doctor about it was a couple nights when I would lay down for bed (on my side) my heart would start beating really hard and irregular. The beats seemed be coming from different spots on the left side of my chest and some beats were almost painful like someone was squeezing my heart. I couldn't feel any of it with my hand on the outside, from the outside I couldn't find a heartbeat at all. It was a little scary. I've had flutters before where it feels almost like my heart is purring, but never anything that worried me enough to tell the doctor. I sorta hope this monitor catches something so I know what's going on, but I sorta hope it doesn't either and that nothing is wrong. At this point just trying not to stress about it, and hoping that people won't stare at me too much when I wear it out lol.
