Technically both, will be doing everything in my power to breastfeed and will also be pumping for random feedings for Dh as well as stock up for when I go back to work. Determined that baby will get as much of my milk as physically possible for as long as possible.
I hope to breast feed but as a baby I was lactose intolerant so I had to be bottle fed. I won't be upset if I can't breast feed as this little boy may inherit that from me and may have to be bottle fed. I also do plan to pump so DH can have some bonding time with his son
SS: I will attempt to breastfeed, but also pump so MH and others can feed the baby as well.
I guess I should have picked SS...I will try my hardest to breast feed, but will be pumping also because I am going back to work and the baby has to be able to take a bottle.

Beta#2, 4/18 = 2702. Beta #3, 4/25 = 17303. Ultrasound #1, 4/29 = 1 perfect baby and heartbeat!. 7/21 = a/s! It's a boy!! Robert Lawrence was born on December 1st at 4:32 am weighing 6lb 3oz, 19.5 inches long and healthy as anything!!
I didn't have a good experience breastfeeding my first two .. it just didn't work and I really hated it. So I'll likely pump and top up with formula for the first month or two like I did the first two times.
I'll probably start pumping at 7-8 weeks to build a stash for childcare and times that I'm away from baby, and so DH/DD can help with feedings sometimes. This is what I did last time and DD was fine taking to the bottle even after getting only boob for the first couple of months. DD was allergic to cow's milk & soy for a while, so I had to modify my diet for a few months in order to breastfeed (and to avoid buying insanely expensive pre-digested formula) - I'm hoping that won't happen again. But all in all I loved breastfeeding and am looking forward to it again. Made it to 18 months with DD.

I plan to try breastfeeding and pumping. I really want MH to be able to feed our child as well and I know I will be working soon after baby is born so I can't be exclusive breastfeeding. If it doesn't work than I am ok with bottle feeding too.

Our plan is for me to breastfeed and pump. That way when Wyatt has to go to daycare at 2 months old it is easier on all of us. I'm hoping I am able to breastfeed though!

I want to breast feed, but I'll be going back to work at 8 weeks, so there will definitely be some bottle feeding at that point. I am not sure how long I will want to/be able to pump exclusively, so I'm really just seeing how it goes.
DD was a preemie so I was almost a pumper exclusively - she had one feeding a day (before bed) that she would bf. I would LOVE to be able to bf this one and then pump after 6-8 weeks. It was nice when DH was able to feed her. I will be going back to work. I had to stop bf'ing this one as I went back on fertility drugs at 9 months so I hope to bf this one for longer.
I'll breastfeed & pump/bottle feed for as long as I can (up to 1 year). With my daughter I had supply issues and ended up having to supplement with formula at about 5-6 months, and then switched her completely to formula at about 7-8 months. I'd love to make it longer with this baby.
I hope to breast feed but as a baby I was lactose intolerant so I had to be bottle fed. I won't be upset if I can't breast feed as this little boy may inherit that from me and may have to be bottle fed. I also do plan to pump so DH can have some bonding time with his son
My DH and I were both lactose intolerant as babies and our DD is not. I am still BFing my DD successfully. Know that if your baby isn't tolerating your dairy intake you can always cut it out while you're BFing if this is something you want to do.
SS: I intend to try to breastfeed, but I have some health issues which may require going back on medication (I stopped a few months before TTC). Some of the meds are NOT ok for bfing so I may have to bottle feed. Unfortunately there aren't very many medication options so I don't even know that there are any safe alternatives. It's something I'm looking into right now.
If I need to be on meds then I'll use formula. In the end it's more important for the baby to have a mother who can actually care for him/her.
SS: I will attempt to breastfeed, but also pump so MH and others can feed the baby as well.
Ditto, once the 2-month period has been established and worries of nipple confusion are over. I totally want DH to pitch in on some feedings. He's a natural night owl, and I'm a morning person, so it makes sense to trade off a bit. Of course, there are also unforeseen events that may make breastfeeding unfeasible, so in that case I would pump all the time.

I will likely BF for the first month when I am able to be home 24/7 but will have to pump at the same time so baby will learn to take a bottle. The hope is to have baby take at least two bottles a day because I don't have the luxury of a 3 month maternity leave and LO has to be ready for me to go back to work in mid-january.
My plan is to breastfeed but also to pump so others can feed (like DH), and also bottle feed (with breast milk) for when I go back to work....
That being said, I do know that some people just have a really difficult time with it. My best friend has an 8 week old, who because of the way he sucks in his bottom lip and his small jaw, could not latch on to her breast to feed. She was pumping 10-12 times a day for the first month to get him breast milk, but she just could not maintain that schedule, especially once she goes back to work in a few weeks.
It's good to have a plan, but I know I may need to adjust if baby is not getting enough from breastfeeding alone.
I will be breastfeeding, but I will also pump so that DH can assist sometimes, or on special occasions such as going out to dinner with the girls, or doing public things that might make nursing a little tricky.
I will breastfeed again & pump to build up my supply for when I have to return to work. After 2 months, DH can use some of our stock to help feed in the morning & to get LO used to the bottle. I'm sure I will have to supplement with formula after I go back to work, as I did with DS.

This. And we'll need to bottle feed when I go back to work.

I'm also not opposed to formula is BFing doesn't work out.
