Going back to work

Michael is 2 months old today and I start work again tomorrow. :( I was very lucky that I got 9 weeks off but I am so sad. MH will be staying at home for the next 2 weeks so I am thankful for that. After that, my SIL will be watching him. I can't help but be sad that I won't have as much time with him and will miss a lot of "firsts". I didn't realize it would be this hard! Good luck to all who are going back to work soon!

  • Good luck to you!  I am sure it will be hard, though.

  • Good luck! I had a major meltdown the week before and was soooooo sad about it. However, once I knew we had a good daycare arrangement, I actually was able to relax and enjoyed being back. So, it definitely gets easier!

  • Oh no, sadness! I hope tomorrow goes all right for you - I'm sure it'll be hard, but at least you can check in a lot :) Maybe someone will even send you some phone-pics!
  • Good Luck! I was so worried when I had to go back to work. I had daycare set up way before I even had him. Once I had him I felt the daycare I picked wasn't the right fit for him. So while I was on leave I searched and found a wonderful daycare. He started there when he was 3 months old and this month he will be there 1 year. He is doing great and loves it.

I always told my self that if he does something without me there he will still do it for me which will make it a first still. My little one has been a lot of first at home and then showing them off at daycare.
