Downtown/Canton area...

I'm looking for good mommy to be classes or yoga classes. I heard charm city yoga is good but they are very expensive if you plan to go more then once a week (16 a class).

Also, any ideas about meeting new mommies/daddies to be?

Our friends circles are mostly single and childless causing them to begin to distance off. Ideas?

  • Congrats on your pregnancy! The only place I've found with prenatal yoga is GBMC, which I don't think was cheaper than what you already found. Every other place that claimed to have that kind of class "wasn't offering it at the time," and I checked during both of my pregnancies.

As far as meeting parents-to-be, I think it's easier once your child is born. Then you meet moms at the playground, Gymboree, etc. Some ladies who were due last November had a pregnancy meet-up, I think. You could try organizing one here on the bump. Also if you plan on taking childbirth or breastfeeding classes, you may make some friends there.

  • Charm City Yoga has a $40.00 introductory offer. It is one month of unlimited yoga for new customers. I know you will probably want to go more than a month, but it is a place to start.
