TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Knock, knock, can I come in?

I don't know if anyone over here remembers me, but I had been a fairly active member on TTCAL for a number of months after my m/c last September.  In the spring I decided that I had to take a break from bumping-I was starting to feel like TTC in general was controlling my life and that maybe if I stepped away it would get better. It also got to be almost too painful to see people come and go so quickly, while I was stuck. (even though I know that's not necessarily the norm)

For the past couple of months I toyed with the idea of introducing myself here b/c I've started to feel like I really do need that support system-not to obsess on ttc, but just to have someone to talk to that can understand.  The emotional roller coast is tough and even tougher when you feel so alone- so, now I'm here-if you have room for one more.

My DH and I have been married for 3 years, off birth control for 1.5, got pregnant last August and have been trying "actively" since December this time around. We just had a S/A done on DH and he checks out fine, and I have my first appointment with the RE tomorrow and am completely terrified that I'm taking that step.

    Hi!  I remember you.  :)

I know what you mean about feeling like TTC is controlling your life and I had to have several long conversations with myself before taking the step to the RE.

I hope that it is a reassuring visit for you and that you'll walk away feeling good about the direction he/she will take you.

    Welcome!

Hi, I remember you.  I know how scary it is to make an appointment with a RE.  I am in the process right now of just trying to call and make the appointment.  I just can't do it yet.

I hope the RE can get you on the road to your take home baby.

Welcome to the board.  I hope your RE appt goes well and they are able to look at things and come up with a good plan.  Many of us, if not almost all, are seeing or have seen an RE.  I think before you go it seems very scary, but the appt's really aren't that bad.  At the first one they are going to ask you lots of questions (your DH too if he is there).  Sometimes they do some b/w, sometimes a pelvic exam, sometimes neither and they schedule those things later.

    Good luck!!

Welcome to 6+.  I don't remember you, but it's because I haven't been over to TTCAL in a long, long time.  I wish you the best of luck and hopefully your stay here is short.  :)

Hi, and welcome to the board!  I don't remember you, like Kelin, but that's only because I took a bit of a break myself.  I wish you all the best, though, and hope your appt. at the RE goes well and that you're on the path toward a LO very, very soon.
