This is my first child, so I don't know what those first movements feel like. But for the past three or four days, I've been feeling tiny flutters right above my pubic bone. It's a different feeling than anything I've ever felt; it's not like gas, which is usually higher up. It feels like little thumps or scratches down there and it will go on for a long time then die back down before it picks back up again. It's really consistent in what it feels like...could this possibly be baby? I keep telling myself that it's too soon, but then part of me thinks that it is possible because of how different it feels.
Is it possible, or am I crazy? haha
Re: how soon did you feel baby?
That is how my first fluttery feelings started up around 15-16 weeks. Within days, it was just stronger thumps, usually a few in a row (without a rhythm) while he kicked or stretched.
During my 17th week those kicks/bumps were able to be felt by myself and DH from the outside. Absolutely love it!
My Ovulation Chart
I felt the same thing at exactly 14 weeks and this is my first, so I would say its entirely possible! I have been told that it has a lot to do with where the placenta/baby/uterus are all sitting.
Nothing really since then so I am back to patiently waiting!
Since I'm a first timer, I didn't know what exactly baby movement or kicks were like, but by the 16th week I could definitely feel movements and flutters. I just started to feel definite kicks last week.
I'm just starting to (no doubt about it) feel my son. I'm 20 weeks exactly tomorrow.
Breastfeeding and pregnant!
I was POSITIVE I was feeling DD at 14 weeks. Felt like lightly being poked with a pencil eraser, and sometimes like a little gold fish wiggling.
Definitely was her, and DH and I could both feel her from the outside at 16 weeks! It's early, but 100% possible.
This is my first, and I could feel movement at 13.5 weeks. DH felt it on the outside at around 18 weeks, I believe.
