My LO sleeps much better when she's swaddled. The problem is, the Summer brand swaddlers are just too hot...she's sweaty when I take her out. I only put a thin onesie under it..but she's still hot.
Does anyone know of a lightweight or thin swaddler?
I'm no expert, but A&A blankets are notoriously light. Perhaps they'll be light enough?
This is what we use (and have just moved on to their sleep sacks because she is rolling over.)
I love them. They were awesome for swaddling, and were the perfect weight. When she first came home it was still cold, so we had her in footie PJs and the a+a swaddle. When it got warmer, we moved to just a onesie and the swaddle.
we use the A+A blankets as well. they are pricey (in some peoples' opinions), but, it's pretty much all we use! we've definitely got our money's worth.

I think they are pricey, but worth every, single penny.
We need one or two more sleep sacks (she wet through hers last night, so when I put the other one on her I realized I was in trouble if that one got soiled) and while the cost makes me wince, I really do think they are worth it.
oooh, I'm so glad someone is looking for these! i made several myself after DD was born, and I love them so much that I'm going to be selling them on etsy. I'm making them in a larger size than most receiving blankets as well, because she has already outgrown the normal sized ones!
I am convinced that coffee is God's gift to mothers.
Our LO breaks out of A&A blankets pretty easily, but that may speak to her Houdini wiggles and our lack of swaddle skills than anything about the blankets.
We put her in the Summer swaddlers with just a diaper if she's getting too hot.
I don't have my LO yet to vouch for how they work---but I bought two JJ Cole Swaddle pouches that are 100% cotton and very lightweight. They get great reviews.

This, I love these for my LO. We live in FL so the AC is always on and it keeps him warm but not too warm, and we can take him outside for short periods without him being too hot. They sell them at Target for cheaper than if you buy them at BBB or BRU

Re: Lightweight Swaddle?
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)

Do you use a fleece one or cotton knit? I use both depending on what she is wearing. Summer Infant makes the cotton ones (thinner) too.

Yeh, I use the cotton ones. I might try just a diaper underneath...and then move to the A&A ones. Whew..lots of trial and error for sleeping!
We like the A & A swaddles as well as those from Land of Nod.
However, we just switched to Summer Infant escape proof swaddles. She likes them a lot, b/c they allow her to stretch her legs more at this point.
This, we love our A&A blankets!!
Or maybe a swaddle me/woombie with just a diaper?
