Just wanted to see if anyone's baby is still feeding frequently. My LO wants to nurse every 3 hours still but the pediatrician said that he should be nursing every 4-6 hours. Now I am concerned that he is eating too much.
DS eats every 2-3 hours. My pedi wasn't concerned. He is bottle fed and takes 5 oz every time.
I wouldn't worry about over nursing/bottle feeding your child as long as there are no medical concerns such as reflux which can be agitated by over feeding. When your child is full he will let you know and when your LO is hungry he will let you know as well(obviously). If your child is healthy just keep truckin' along!
Mine has been pretty consistent every three hours, really since birth. I've read a couple of articles that claim babies get in a routine like that and often won't break it.
DD eats every hour during the day unless she's asleep, then it's every 2. It's been every 2-3 during the night, too. I figure that since she's nursing then I can't feed her too much and I do try to give her a paci over food, but she'll scream up a storm if she's not into that.
C is breastfed and eats when she's hungry. Sometimes it's 3 hours, sometimes it's 5.
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind."

Yes - DD nurses just about every 3 hours during the day (and closer to 2 when we hit the evening)
