I have been on the pill for about 2 and a half years now. next year my husband and i plan on trying to conceive. As we get closer to this i am thinking more and more about my fertility and planning ahead so that we aren't trying for a long time. particularly because i will be turning 35 next year and thus entering a new window of decline in my fertility. As an extra precaution i am going to go off the pill in August and start using a diaphram along with charting my ovulation in order to avoid sex when i am ovulating (until we are ready to start ttc next year) but also get some idea of my cycles and how it all works. I am just curious, prior to going on the pill i always noticed a healthy raw egg like cervical mucus. Does this suggest that i was ovulating prior to going on it? I wanna see if i am likely to ovulate normally once i go off.
