Today while taking a shower I fainted. I've never fainted or had any medical problems so the sense of having no control over your body shook me up. I will be 16 weeks this Wednesday.
Thankfully, my husband was brushing his teeth in the bathroom and I called out to him before I blacked out. He said I was out only 5-10 seconds. I got out of the shower, sat on the floor, drank OJ and the feeling passed in a few minutes.
I decided to not go the hospital because I think it must have been from low blood sugar and the heat of the shower? As soon as I drank the orange juice I felt a lot better. Of course, I will call the doctor on Monday morning.
Until then, just wondering have any you fainted and what did the doctor say or do to see what caused it?
I'm just very nervous of it happening again if I'm alone.
Thanks for your input.
Re: Fainting
It's common during this time to overheat and sometimes faint. It usually happens to me after a shower or while I'm cooking. Just try to take cooler showers and stay hydrated, because you can definitely overheat FAST!
