I usually leave it on all night, and LO STTN. Some nights, it's pretty low, but other nights, I have turned it up (like the 4th of July and a few days before and following). Can this affect hearing? Thanks!
We have the Homedics Soundspa Lullaby and we use it all night, every night either on ocean or rain. I have it turned up almost all the way. I never thought about it affecting hearing. Maybe ask pedi @ next visit?

NO way man (about the hearing prob)!! We use the Homedics Sound Spa (on waterfall setting) for our daughter - and we've used it w/DS since Day 1 too. And he's 3 years old. We take it w/us on vaca/grandpa's house.. best $20 we've ever spent.
I use Baby White Noise mp3s and I find that the louder it is, the more effective it is. I crank it up when LO is trying to go sleep and then turn it down slowly once he's out, switching it for the sleep sheep for 45 more minutes. Once we move him to his crib, I'm buying the Homedics machine and leaving it on all night. His hearing's fine.
Thanks, all. I put it on his dresser instead of by his feet in the crib for a nap today, and it worked great still. I feel a little better about that. I'm so paranoid! Haha!
