Camping Recs?

DH and I are going to take DS camping in a couple of weeks.  Any pointers/recommendations?  We will be tent camping, but have a fan for the tent, an air mattress for him to sleep on, and we will have a site with electric.  Any one have any places that they like to go camping that are within an hour or two from the airport?  TIA!

    We used to always go to Cowan Lake, although I haven't been in years.

    If you are looking for a small quiet campground then I would recomend Stonelick State park near Goshen area.  They don't have alot of planned activities that bigger kids enjoy, but they have nice sites-including sites with water view or on the water.  They do not allow large boats on the lake.  They have beach bikes/small canoes and small boats with paddles to play on the lake with.  Several campsites are oversized and allow more privacy for small kids.  They have only a few trails that are ideal for smaller kids.  If you are interested in going and want to reserve a site in advance, you can pay couple of dollars extra and get a premium site.  That way you know it is a good site without seeing it.  Good luck!  1ht
