Good quality beach balls?

Hey ladies!

I decided on a "Water Park" theme for Alex's  5th birthday.  We're having it here at home and I'm just putting out a bunch of water toys- the boys got this "water park" baby pool thing with a slide that squirts water and a basket ball hoop from my brother, I'm going to get another similar pool and a slip and slide or two, just set it up and let the kids go crazy.

I want to have TONS of beach balls in the backyard, then the kiddos will pick a beach ball to take home for a favor along with a bag of gummy sharks or some kind of candy.

Oriental Trading has cheap cute colorful assortments of beach balls, but everything I've ordered inflatable from them ends up really ghetto and having holes.

Anyone know a good bulk beach ball place or have you ordered from OT with success?  I wonder about the dollar store.  Hmmmm.

  • I would just buy plastic balls that are already inflated.  I always see them at Target and Wal Mart, often for a $1.  The larger ones are maybe $3, but the $1 size is fine.  Another fun favor idea is noodles.  More for a swimming pool party, but still works, and those are often $1-2 too.

  • We had two beach themed parties two years in a row. I ordered from Oriental Trading Company for the first one and all of the inflatable balls were in great shape and I still have some that just won't deflate no matter how rough the boys are on them. The other party I scored a bunch of balls from the $1 corner at Michaels. Again, they were totally fine in durability as well.
  • Target has them for $1 (at least they did a few weeks ago, now they are starting to clear the summer stuff out already). I also saw them at Dollar Tree, with a ton of other inflatable stuff.
