I was just talking to DH about this when I saw your post. DS has NO interest at all. He has peed on the potty 3 times maybe, but since then when we ask he says no. He sits on it sometimes, but wont go. I dont want to rush him so if hes not ready thats fine. He is a super stubborn child. Since I am too, I know that if someone pushes me I wont do it....so I think the same goes for him. I find that 2 in diapers is not hard at all. I dread the days when I have to stop the car to have him pee, or change wet sheets in the middle of the night etc. I am waiting to him to give me cues. I wouldnt be surprised if DD would follow his lead and train at the same time.

My DS has shown signs that he's ready but we're going to hold off until after the baby is born. I don't want to deal with regression. I'm targeting the week after Christmas since we want to train him at home first before dealing with PT at daycare.
We are starting to think about more within the past few weeks. I think diapers are so much easier...I'm really nervous about PT and what to do when we are out...I keep running through different scenarios in my head that would be a disaster...
DS is showing some interest...he's gone a hand full of times. My goal is to have him PT before he's 3 years old.
We just did it a few weeks ago, and DS1 will be 3 at the end of the month. My DH is home with them during the day (we work opposite schedules) and there's no way I wanted him to have to attempt that before I was done with work for the summer (I'm a teacher). Plus everything I've read says that boys take longer and also that when they're ready, it's easy, and when they're not, it can be traumatic or a nightmare. So we waited till the end of June, knowing we'd both be home during the day, and it worked out great. It took about a week in terms of having a few accidents, and DS1 learning the sensations, etc...and now he's totally fine and on board with it. If you wait till they're truly ready, it's a cinch!

We did it about 2.5 weeks ago, using the "3 day method." It was a huge success and "clicked" on the first day. We're still working on training for poop, but we haven't really had any daytime pee accidents since those days of training. The exceptions were a couple times when no one was available to run him to the potty and he didn't hold it (mommy in the shower, daddy giving the other child a bath, for example). Nights and naps have gone VERY well. We've never had more than 2 accidents in one night, and I think we're just about equal now on nights with/without accidents.
For us, going from two in cloth diapers to only one has made a HUGE difference. I almost wish we had PT earlier!
DD was ready, so we trained around 22 months. It went fairly well and DS was no issue (He was ~5 months). He was barely on her radar then.
Agree about diapers being easier. We have used them a few times when we're on long trips and don't want to stop, but there's always accidents when we get home!
