Manassas Area Doula

Thought we had a doula lined up (she was working on certification and willing to do it for free), never actually met with her but the emails stopped and now she's gone AWOL. We're here by ourselves in VA so since our mothers can't be with us I really think we would benefit from having a doula but I know they can get expensive.

Does anyone know any doulas in the area that might be willing to work with us or any recommendations in general? Planning to give birth at Prince William Hosptial here in Manassas towards the very end of August.

They also offer REALLY cheap childbirth classes so if anyone has attended I would love opinions on that too!!

Claire Sax of Crowning Moments Doula has done births at PW and she's awesome, but I know she's going on vacation at the end of August. I'm sure she knows plenty of other local doulas she can recommend, so I would try emailing her! https://www.crowningmomentsdoula.com/

Thanks - she does appear to be very reasonable too so it's too bad she's going on vacation over my due date!! But I may do as you suggested and email her about other possibilities.
