Hello girls.  First? THANK YOU for the amazing support over the last 9 months of being pregnant and last 1 ? years of life.  I really can not explain how crucial your friendships have been in my life.   Now let me introduce you to Graisyn.

Graisyn (said like Grayson), was born on July 5 at 1:37pm via c-section.  He weighed 7lbs 10oz and was 20 ? inches long. 

 

Birth story-  I woke up on July 4th 4am with contractions, these were on and off all morning.  Around 12pm they became regular enough to time and by 5pm were every 5ish minutes.   The hospital admitted us around 6ish at 3cm and contractions every 3 minutes, my sister started her 2 hour drive to help be my labor coach.  Around 8pm I got my second epidural (yes, the first one did not work.  Yes, that sucked).   My contractions continued regularly through the night.  Eventally I hit 6cm, they broke my water, than 8 cm, than nothing, was given Piticon, still 8cm and he had not dropped.  At 12pm on July 5 the decision was made to do a c-section due to me have a small fever, the lack of progress- even with Piticon, and Graisyn had Meconium Aspiration (discovered when they broke my water). 

 

The c-section went GREAT and he was born around 1:30pm.  DH watched the entire thing.  Graisyn was a champ and did amazing.  The only bad thing was that I really did not get to ?meet? him until about 5pm  L  But when I did? ahh? true love!

 

We just got out of the hospital yesterday, so I wanted to share everything with you.  And of course give you some pics?

Sorry this is long, but once I got started writing it all down I couldn?t stop.  And thanks to Cheryl and Shanna for keeping you updated on everything.

BFP #2 Oct 20, 2010; My little boy was born on July 5, 2011

BFP #3 April 30, 2013; Chemical Pg May 5, 2013

BFP #4 Aug 22, 2013; It's a boy.  Loss discovered at 24 weeks on Jan 15, 2014 (cause CMV virus)

    YAY!!! So happy for you!!! Isn't motherhood the best. Crazy...we had almost the exact same labor timeline! I woke up at 4am on the 4th with contractions as well, regular contractions by 12, and we were admitted at 3cm by 6...and I got my epi at 8. That is just weird. I guess we were in tune with each other that day! Anyways, HUGE congrats! He is soooo cute!
