LATCH or seatbelt? Is it in the center rear position or on one of the sides? I'm just curious. We had ours in the center rear with LATCH but then someone at work told me LATCH wasn't "made" to be used in the center seat; only on one of the sides. I checked my car owners manual and my car seat manual and neither said anything about it.
Re: How did you install your carseat?
Bailey has always been on one of the sides either behind the passenger seat before bryce and now behind the driver seat. Bryce is now behind the passenger seat. Our old cars they were seatbelted b/c they didnt' have latch. Now both our suvs have latch so we use that. Our Pilot has LATCH in all three positions in the middle seat and 2 positions in the 3rd row. My RX only has 2 LATCH positions but the carseat does't fit properly in the middle anyways.
When I went to the cobb county safety village for the carseat inspection, the officer and another worker said that unless your car manual says otherwise any of the back positions are safe as long as the carseat is installed properly. The carseat is designed to take impact and stay safe through an accident no matter where it is located.
