Re: CP : I thought I was having

  • I voted SS... the first 10 or so weeks, I was POSITIVE it was a girl. Then one day I though, "Um, no, it's a boy" and I was pretty sure it was a boy. I would have been surprised if it was a girl.

    Definitely a boy.

  • With DD, I first thought it was a boy, then after a few weeks was convinced it was a girl, and I was right.  This time, I was a little more confused but was leaning towards boy, and I was right, although I wasn't as certain as I was with DD.

I picked SS because I'm difficult!  My first instinct was girl, but I convinced myself it was a boy after listening to other people and stupid old wives tales.  Apparently I should have stayed with my initial gut instinct because she is all girl!

  • The first words out of my mouth when I saw the pee stick say pregnant were, "Please stick little guy."

That feeling never changed.  I spent some time around the end of 1st Tri reminding myself that it could be a girl (and I'd have been thrilled with that as well)...but it turned out my gut feeling was right on.

I've known boy moms who were sick as dogs and girl moms who never got sick.  I think that's a dumb reason!  I am far less sick this time around (although it's still been fairly brutal), but that's not really the reason I think this is a boy.  I don't know why, I just do!  I would actually be shocked if it turned out to be a girl (though no less excited, of course!)

  • I had no idea, no feeling whatsoever. DH on the other hand was 100% sure from conception onward that it was a girl, he was calling it she and her, ready to paint the nursery pink well before our a/s. I think his certainty took away any intuition I may have had.

DH knew it was a girl because: "I only sent girls on that mission." Wink

  • I had a dream early on that I was in the hospital and had two boys so I thought it was two boys because of that but then I was kind of wavering... So many people (including the MFM at the NT scan) said I was having two girls, everyone else said it would be one of each. After all that, I started thinking that I was probably wrong about two boys because we had PGD done on our frozen embryos and there are 2 boys and 1 girl. I figured that, statistically, it would be unlikely for us to have made 4 boys out of our 5 best embryos. I guess we just make stronger boy embabies. I was the ONLY person that ever guessed or had any inclination that it would be two boys... I guess my dream was right!

I have been thinking girl for you for some reason!  Either way, that's going to be one loved and adorable baby!  I'm jealous on the boy name being picked out... DH & I can NOT agree on boy names.  This kid may be nameless forever!  If it does turn out to be a girl, though, we're set on a first name but haven't discussed middle names yet.

  • I was SURE it was a boy. I was told bo(y at 12 weeks, DH's family only produces boys (in 4 generations, only one female), Cherri22 told me it was a boy.

When they told me Girl at 16w, I didn't really believe them. When they told me girl at 20w, I started to kinda sorta believe them. It took a few more ultrasounds for me to start to accept pink in my life.

I will say that all the OWTs proved true for her being a girl. I didn't have any m/s with my boy PG, but I did have m/s with my girl PG. Also, her heartrate was always 20 beats higher at the same gestation than my boy PG.
