Am I the only one who remembers NOTHING about the first 2 months?

I was like this with my son too but I swear - I can't remember anything the first two months!  Apparently I was deliriously exhausted.  I know for the first 2 months the babies slept in the swing and woke up every 2 hours on opposite schedules.  It was never "bad" because I'd been through it before and knew it'd end, but I'm totally weirded out how I remember none of it.  My memories are so clear of being in the hospital having them and then it's a big huge blur!!

Selective memory??  I wish now I would've written down more.. oh well, at least I have pics!

  • I have a picture of me tandem nursing while also supplementing with the tube and syringe, with DS1 sitting on my legs while I read him his book. I'm pretty sure that was everything that happened for those two months!

  • I'm the same way! I'll see pics or videos of them and think, "When was this?!" Unfortunately it seems like the first 6 months were a blur to me! Just the other day I watched a video DH took of me feeding the babies. In the video I said the date (which I do almost every time we take a video - for this exact reason!) I was amazed at how long it took me to feed, burp and change both of them. Then I was even more amazed that I actually did that 6-7 times a day!

I remember some things very well and some things not at all.  I have a freak memory and I think that's the only reason why I have any recollection of those days.

  • If I sit down and look at pictures, and really try, I can remember a lot of details.  Just off the top of my head though?

I remember a LOT of crying from DD because of her reflux.  OMG the crying.  It never ended.  And I remember her hospital stay at 6 weeks old very VERY well.  The terrifying episode that led to that, and the hospital itself, will always be burned clearly into my mind.  ::shudders::

Other than that though, everything is a blur.
