My Birth Story

I love ready all these birth stories so I thought I'd tell you mine!!

My son is almost 5 months! I went to my 35 week appoinment and the doc measured my belly and it measured 37 weeks!! So I had an ultrasound to check the size of the baby.....he was weighing in at 7Lbs 8oz.....but the doc was not concerned about the size!! so I went another 6 weeks!!!!! I was induced 5 days after my due date!! Let me just tell you all petosin is the hell drug....I hated it...all day I waited around 12noon I started having bad contrations and the doc broke my water at 1pm, I was in active labor....progressing slowly....at about 3pm I asked for an epidural.... and it didn't work I still felt every contraction....5pm came around and the doc checked me I was at 5cm....I was in a lot of pain I kept hitting that button and nothing!! at 7pm the doc checked me an I was 7cm, again at 9 and I was still 7cm.....The doc came in and said I think this baby is too big...( I was like you think!!!!!) And he said I would probably end up with a c-section, I said just get this over with!!! My son was born at 10:24pm weighing 10lbs 14oz!!! It was amazing and I would do it all over again!!!! I had no problems with my section and will probably have another with my second baby!!
