Hi ladies! We're relocating very soon, but in the meantime, I need to start doing my research to settle on several things in the Mechanicsburg area (although I'm originally from just outside Harrisburg, so I know the area and don't mind driving a bit!):
1. Any recommendations for pediatricians?
2. Any recommendations for OB/GYNs?
3. Any info on moms' groups and other activities that DS and I can get involved in (I'm a SAHM)?
Thanks for any insight!
Re: West Shore related questions...
I'm not much help with a pedi, or a mom group (I'm a FTM and haven't looked into groups and using our family practice instead of a pedi) but as far as OB's go I love the Center for Women's Health in Camp Hill. It shares a parking lot with Holy Spirit hospital. I have yet to deliver with them (hopefully any day now!) but they have been great throughout my pregnancy.

2. I went to Cumberland Valley OBGYN but the female left and I'm not so sure about the replacement. Everyone was super nice at the office though. It's across from Walmart on 114.
There's the West Shore Mom's Club (if you PM me your email I can have the membership chair send you some info), MyGym is on the Carlisle Pike and the library and Borders both have a lot of activities for the kids.
Thanks! I will check those against what our insurance covers and hopefully some of them will match up.
Lindy, YGPM! Thanks!

I take Sophia to Heritage Pediatrics on the Carlisle Pike.
For OB/GYN, I go to Women's First, the office in the Fredricksen Center.
1. We take Aaron to our family doctor, but I've heard a lot of good things about Heritage Pediatrics. They seem to be the go-to pediatrician around here. My mom took my younger siblings to Jones, Daly, Coldren (I think they go by JDC Associates now) for a short time, but something always seemed "off" so they just go to her family doc now.
2. I go to Partners in Women's Healthcare. I've been going there for 11 years and they've done my yearly visits, 2 LEEP procedures (minor cervical surgery) and they just delivered my DS in March. I have no complaints and nothing but praise. They have a few offices, but I go to the one in Lemoyne (it's across rt 15 from Holy Spirit Hospital). They have gyns, OB/gyns, and midwives on staff.
3. I'm no help on the groups. H and I pick DS up from my mom's at 4:30 and he starts heading to bed around 7:30, so there's no time for groups in the evening. We're pretty active by ourselves on the weekends. I see your SN is pastorswife... does your H's church offer any programs?
