We did fish and shellfish right around a year - I just made sure we had benadryl on hand, but she did fine. Our family has no history of food allergies.
We had our 9mo visit yesterday and the pedi suggested holding off on all fish until about a year old because there is a potential for small bones. Regardless of age, I would probably do a good check for bones before serving.
Re: When did you first give DC fish?
I gave DD salmon and haddock very early, like seven months maybe?
I think they only things to be cautious of are shellfish because of allergies and fish with high levels of mercury, like shark or swordfish.
