D-O-N-E! DH won't touch me with a ten foot pole. Next effort, pumping. Anyone heard of successful induction this way? (Not looking for opinions on "cooking." I am well aware of the value of waiting it out. Just having a very selfish moment/month.)
It tricks your brain into producing oxytocin. You have to do a lot of it (2 minutes on/2 minutes off for 20 minutes, rest for 20 minutes, repeat, repeat repeat) but it can work. You can use the pump. It can stimulate contractions, but whether those contractions turn into actual labor is up to your body and your baby's clock.
You don't have a ticker but you're a grown up so I won't ask how far along you are.

I tried this too with DS. It didn't do anything for me, but I have read that it can cause VERY painful contractions that don't do anything. I would proceed with caution. I kind of gave up on any means of naturally inducing. The only method my OB will OK for me is Sex, and that requires a hubby who will do it :-/

I have heard that it could start labor, but if your body isn't ready labor could slow and stop. I am getting desperate (though still too early to feel okay doing it,) so I may actually try this method as I get further down the road. Let us know if you try it!
I'd love to know how far along you are since just last week this is what you had to say about pumping to induce labor. ::side eye::
ETA: And why are you trying to start labor now when you're scheduled for a repeat c/s 8/1?
If it worked for me last time I;d be sitting on the couch playing with my nipples again right now... in hindsight I felt silly and DD1 stayed in for another 2 weeks...

I'm not doing to TODAY. I'm thinking about it due to desperation and having a huge baby. I am 37 weeks. OB will be out of town until 8/1, hence C/S scheduled for that date...wishful thinking on HIS part that he'll get my $$$.
