Thanks for all the suggestions the other day. They really helped give me an idea of what would be appropriate for this event. I wish I had known about the party sooner so I could have just ordered online. I've narrowed it down to 3 dresses and I need more help. Sorry for the terrible quality pics but hopefully it will give you enough of an idea of what they look like.
Oh and this dress is going to be worn tomorrow night at a cocktail party for DH's work. Think older, conservative/stodgy type of people.
Dress 1: https://tinypic.com/r/10ygv7m/7
Dress 2: https://tinypic.com/r/vhw0o6/7
Dress 2 w/Bolero: https://tinypic.com/r/rif4hy/7
Dress 3: https://tinypic.com/r/4lnif9/7
I will say that the material for dress 1 looks a little cheaper to me, and dress 3 is a little big, but I could potentially do some alterations on it myself before tomorrow.
Re: NBR - More dress help LIP + Clicky poll
You truly look amazing in all of them. I wish I had your curves.
aw thanks! I actually had the hardest time finding a dress to fit those curves. I think I'm three different sizes, if something fit my hips it didn't fit my waist, if it fit my waist it didn't fit my chest. Kind of a pain.
I lost my waist after giving birth. Haha. I'm down to my pre-pregnancy weight and no waist to be seen.
I think I'm leaning toward dress two. It's interesting, I posted the same poll on my FB page and there's been an overwhelming response to dress 1, but I think it may be a little too sexy. Not that it's a super sexy dress, just maybe a bit much for this event. I think I'd rather err on the conservative side than risk going there and having a bunch old guys thinking DH's wife is a little hussy. :P
ETA: just to give you an idea of what it's like, when I showed DH dress #3/picture 4 (the high neckline black dress) he asked if I was planning on wearing a jacket with it because it might show too much skin. lol, perhaps I should just wear a muumuu.
yeah, apparently DH does too. I sent him the pics and that's the one he chose. I think I'll do what Mary suggested and go with dress 2, wear the jacket and either keep wearing it or take it off depending on what the other women are wearing.
Thanks for all the input ladies!
