My MIL asked if she can enter my LO
I'm stunned. Probably because I've seen the toddlers & tiaras previews.

    say NOPE! What does your LO stand to gain if she were to be entered?? Sounds purely like gratification for your MIL Hmm I would tell her she needs to get a dog and start doing dog shows if that is something she is interested in (but maybe that's why I don't really get along with my MIL Wink)

    My MIL would never suggest such a thing, but if she did, the whole pageant scene is so revolting to me and I'm pretty outspoken about it so that might have gotten a little heated. There really is no justification for teaching your child that looks are the most important thing above all else, and that's exactly what I'd tell my MIL. Not everyone is so in your face about it as I am though! LOL

    i'd just say no. no need for a long explanation about the craziness of a baby pageant (cause seriously what can they do but drool at this age?) just plain no. especially if she didn't ask me herself

    no way!!!!!!  my mom tried and tried to get me to put my 3rd daughter in pagents/modeling and i wouldn't do it.  she drove me NUTS!  i would NEVER subject my children to that type of lifestyle.  don't EVEN get me started!

    No way in hell! I have watched Toddlers and Tiaras, and do not think it's appropriate to sexualize little girls like that.
