Odd questions *possible TMI*

So just a few questions I have running thru my brain about me....

1). I have been leaking on a pretty daily basis for the last week. It's mostly when I lay on my right side (that's most comfy for me vs. the left) but I do lay on my left side, too. I know that leaking is normal...tho my left side doesn't leak like the right side. Would the fact that I'm lop-sided (smaller on the right by 1 cup size) and had my nipples pierced before (scar tissue) be the cause for not leaking on the left side?

2). When DF and I do get around to having "adult interaction" I feel quite itchy and irritated down there for about a week after. Could this possibly be BV showing up bc of the humidity? I try to stay as dry & clean as possible. I change my undies about 2-3 times a day when I'm really active and sweating down there. Also change my panty liner every time I go pee.

3). I have a piercing....down below...going on 2 years now. Do they make you take out "personal" piercings when you're in labor? No one knows about this piercing except DF and my BFF so I'd hate for our mothers to peek around to see baby coming out and find out that I have metal in a very intimate place Embarrassed My OB hasn't said anything about it but if I do have to take it out completely, I'll have to go to the shop as I can't see and DF is afraid of hurting me while trying to unscrew the ball.

Other than that...I believe that sums up my questions Smile

  • I have no idea how to answer these questions!  I think you'll get the best answers from asking your OB at your next check-up.  You might want to call the doc about the irritation you get after sex--could be a yeast infection maybe or some kind of vaginitis?  I dunno, I have to do a lot of going outside to go to different places with my job in the Kansas summer heat and it can feel like quite a work out but even when I get sweaty (I wear liners too) I don't get any irritation.

  • I would ask your doctor about #2.  It is possible for a man to carry a yeast or bacterial infection without symptoms and keep re-infecting you.  This happened between me and my DH and sounds alot like what is happening with you. Our doctor prescribed him one Diflucan and it solved the whole problem.
