I want to have a one-time cleaning done before DD #2 arrives. I've called a couple of places to try to get quotes, but they all require a meeting at our house to give me an estimate. That's fine, but they're only available to meet M-F 8-5 (When I'm at work).
So my question is, if you've used a housekeeper for a one-time service, approximately how much should I expect to pay?
I'll obviously have to have them come and give me a formal quote before they clean, but before I take time off of work, I'd like to see if it's something that's going to be doable for us ![]()
Re: S/O Housekeeper
I pay $16.50/hour for our housekeeper. For a regular cleaning she is there approximately 4 hours. For deep cleanings she is there for 6-8 hours depending on my list of rooms for her.
When they did the deep cleaning before E was born, they were at the house about 7-8 hours.
We're hoping to do the same thing if we get unpacked enough - if not we'll do it soon after.I'll let you know how mcuh it was once we get it done.
We did a move out cleaning of our rental - 3 bdrm/1bath - 1100 square feet and it was $250 - best money spent and the lady said move outs were usually more since she scoured the stove, frridge, oven etc.
I think it really depends on who you use and where you're located. I would call at least 3 people/service agencies and go from there.
