We tried the crib in his room for 7 weeks and we all were miserable. He's been back in the co-sleeper next to me for a few weeks and now usually sttn, waking at 6 or so. The problem is that he's growing out of it since he likes to stretch out sometimes. I also have it slightly inclined for his reflux and he tends to scoot down in the morning, so he's right up against it, which I don't like. I was surprised that dh went along with the idea of the mini crib but admitted that he's not ready for ds to leave our room, either.
I had to order a mattress, too, since it only comes with a 1" one. It's simple looking but it rocks too. I'm very excited as I don't plan on moving ds to his room for a while.
Re: Just ordered a mini crib
I didn't even know they made a mini crib. Hmmmmm. Do you have pictures? I'd like to see it.
DH and I still have LO in our room. He is in the PNP. I don't want to move him to his room until after summer. I'm afraid with the AC that I won't hear him even with a monitor. Pathetic reason, huh? LOL.

Thanks! I saw those wedges at bru too, but they make me nervous to use- I don' know why. I do love that leachco thing maybe even to just hang out in, but I've been on a buying spree with this lo lately. I will show it to dh, though. His reflux isn't too bad and he doesn't spit up at night. His issue is mostly from congestion due to reflux. He always sounds so stuffy in the morning despite nightly use of a humidifier, saline spray and nosefrida. We did just switch formula to nutramigen + bf'ing dairy-free so hopefully that will help, too.
Also, I just found it on overstock for cheaper in a different finish. Too bad I already ordered mine on amazon. Just fyi if you were interested!
https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Alph-Cherry-Finish-Mini-Crib/4335060/product.htmlThanks! I might buy one simply because I'm too nervous to put him in his crib but he has gotten so active at night, maybe he just needs his own space but still to be near me.
When I said wedge I meant the thing that goes under the mattress and bumps it up, not the positioners. Just clarifying. If that's what you knew I meant, what is it about them that makes you nervous?
I will let you know how we like it. I got an email that it shipped today but the delivery estimate isn't until the 19th. I hope it gets here sooner. I believe it's about the size of a pnp so he should be able to be in it for a while.
I'm sorry, I thought you meant the wedge that goes under the sheet. In his crib, we had a towel under the mattress. I thought it essentially did the same job as a wedge but I guess not.
Also, thanks for letting me know about the leachco thing. I saw walmart has them for $20 so I sent dh out to get one. Unfortunately the website was wrong and they had none in stock there. We may make it our mission to find one tomorrow. I don't think he'll sleep in it, but it will still be good to have.
