I'm not even pregnant with #3 yet, and we have several months to do before even TTC, but DH's rule for naming kids is/was not to even discuss it until we found out the sex. This time around we aren't going to find out the sex beforehand, so it will need to be discussed prior to birth!
My daughter is Lillian Mae (had a great aunt Lillian, that she's not named after per se, but the name was inspired by). We just thought Mae sounded nice.
My son is Bronson Andrew (Bronson is my late grandfather, late great grandfather, and late uncle's name on the maternal side) Andrew is a 5th generation middle name on the paternal side)
Since we've dipped into using family names, I want to keep the "torch lit" so to speak. so, for #3 I'd like some name help on the boys side
If it's a girl, she will be named Georgia Rosine (after my father George, and DH's grandmother Rosine)
We're stuck on a boy name. I want it to come from my father's side of the family so here's what I have so far:
Eli (great grandfather. short for Elijah, but since I love eli but not elijah, we'd just keep the shortened version)
George (directly from my father/grandfather)
Albert (NN Albie. father/grandfather's middle name)
Benson (surname used as first name)
Turner - (surname as first name) from the maternal side, though and i'd like to stick to paternal
Samuel (which would be the male form of Sammie my grandmother, another from the maternal side))
Like any of them? Hate them all?

I love Georgia Rosine, btw!
When it comes to family names, I like direct family first-name usage unless the first-name is too clunky. (My great-grandparents were Albie Elisabeth and Carl Allen. Family members who have wanted to pay tribute to Granny have used Elisabeth, Lisa, or Betty for girls and Charles and Allen for boys.)
From your list, I like Eli, George, and Samuel as first names. Albert, Benson, or Turner can be used as MN, though Albert is a little too old-fashioned for my taste.
for the record, Eli has been a name I've been in love with for several years. IIRC it was on my list for DD who is 2.5 now. Unfortunately for some reason DH just isn't a fan. I think it has something to do with the Manning brothers for some reaosn lol.
I only recently found out it was my great grandfather's name on my father's side, which further solidifies my love for it (i never knew my GGF on that side, and since my father and GF are both George, I just assumed GGF was George as well w/o giving it any thought, even though my dad isn't a III)
I am a huge fan of Eli or Elijiah
Samuel isn't bad either
This! Exactly!
