I use flips, so this might not be what you are looking for, but I love the BumGenius inserts. So absorbent and relatively inexpensive. My sitter uses them in her pockets. She loves them too.
Hemp or bamboo - really absorbent and trim. So much better than MF IMO. I have a few different brands and am happy with all of them.
Same. I'm not a fan of microfiber. To get the absorbency I need I have to pack in like three of them then the bulk is ridiculous. Plus, I like that the bamboo or hemp inserts can be used as doublers with my prefolds. MF can't be used next to the skin (drying) so that limits their use, IMO.

I have heard this before. But doesn't the Flip system use microfiber inserts next to the skin?
