People you hate sitting next to @resturants.

my local radio station I listen has a poll going. They are asking u to call in & let them know who u hate sitting next to @ resturants. I know its not bump related ,but after listening to their responses I felt it kind of was.Mostly everyone is calling in and saying they hate sitting next to families with babies. Were you all one of these people? did you hate sitting next to families with a baby and how do u feel about this now?

I hate sitting next to terrible parents that let thier kids scream...this goes for babies on up.

DH and I's biggest pet peeve is that it seems like we are always sat next to large parties. Which we define as any party they have to put 2 tables together for. Typically its our server who has this big table so in addition to the large group being loud (as they must shout from one end of the room to the other) we get crappy service because our server is working on thier table not us. Grrr.

I do not like sitting next to families with children who misbehave and parents who do nothing about it.That will never change.

I'm not talking about children who have temper tantrums or start crying, as I completely understand that often that sort of behavior may come out of no where.Or children who get upset, or misbehave and the parents are very clearly trying to calm them down.

Well if the parents let the baby cry/scream and just sit and eat their dinner like there isn't a room full of people paying for dinner around them, then sitting next to that table is the worst.

I will say that my husband and I took DD to a nicer (not crazy fancy) restaurant and she wasn't crying or fussy and as we sat down this old bat at the table next to us said to the people at her table "This is not the restaurant to bring babies to, that's rude" loud enough for me to hear. It took everything in me not to say something but I shot her a look. My baby didn't make a single peep all through dinner either, what a hag.

I walk into every restaurant knowing that I may have to leave with my baby at any moment and that is the chance I take. At the first sign of fuss out we go out and I either try to calm her or we just leave.

I agree with most of these comments. I think it is more the older children than babies that are the problem, and it is because they are misbehaving and being ignored by their parents. I am usually much more irritated by the parents than the children. Ugh.

i dont mind sitting next to families with children...unless like PP said, they let the children RUN around the restaurant. bugs the h*ll out of me. first, its annoying, second..im always thinking...what if something happens to your child? you wont even notice!!

mostly, though, i hate sitting next to people who have no volume control. talk to the people at your table...not to the whole joint! i dont want to hear your business!

i never really minded sitting next to families with LOs.

i feel like ppl dont like to sit near me with griff though lol. when he starts to fuss i get up right away cause i dont want to bug anyone. it might just be in my head though cause no one has actually said anything to me or gave me dirty looks.

Babies didn't/don't bother me. I don't like sitting next to people that think the entire restaurant need to hear their conversation.

You must all be talking about my family! A few weeks ago we went to a place with my Grandma, dad, cousins, sisters - huge group. Thankfully they gave us the "kids" room to eat in. My family is so loud and seems to have no volume control at all even in public. It was somewhat embarassing to me how loud we were. Everyone had a good time (except the poor people in the restaurant who had to listen to us).

I have 5 kids and only take my kids out to eat 3 or 4 times a year because it's so stressful. My kids are pretty well behaved (really they are), but they can only sit still for so long. Restaurants take too long - you wait to order, wait to get the food, pay for the food, etc. If we do go out - we order right away and ask them to bring out food ASAP and the bill as soon as they can as well. Then we try to leave a nice tip for the poor waitress who has to clean up our mess.

people w/ kids or babies don't bother me unless their acting like damn monkeys! Then there's a problem.

but mainly I don't like sitting by the loud table that is having a convo w/ someone 2ft in front of them. I don't care if your brothers moms uncles cousins is having a hard time getting around the house! I also don't like sitting by the party of 12 table either. Because then my number 1 problem about the loud people come into play!
